Judith has been teaching painting workshops in the 'Artist in the Schools' program for the Toronto District Catholic School Board. Judith is also teaching a workshop on drawing poetry in the 'Arts Smarts' program for the Durham board of Education.

Judith graduated with a BA in Fine Art from McMaster University; majoring in painting and drawing. She graduated with honours in Graphic Design from George Brown College.

About the Artist

Judith Jewer is fascinated with the process of seeing, and takes great pleasure in the visual world - especially the natural world. She draws and paints in an expressive and vibrant way to create landscapes, still life, florals, portraits, and animal drawings. Judith also paints beautiful abstracted aspects of nature that highlight surprising hidden aspects of the natural world.

Judith paints outside "plein air" using acrylics and has been exploring landscape motifs of Ajax and Pickering locations. She is also often found at the Toronto Zoo drawing the animals with her charcoal pencils. In the studio, Judith enjoys multimedia, soft pastels, still life, florals, and mandalas.

Judith's acrylic paintings are in many art collections world wide. Judith has exhibited her paintings and drawings throughout the Durham Region for the last 10 years. She has participated in many juried shows.
