Love-Light Prayer

Meaning of the Drawing:

The prayer for this colour pencil drawing was written by Judith in the early 1990s. It goes like this:

Dearest Love-Light shine on me.
Heal my heart, make me whole.
All old sorrows I let go,
That I too might shine like you.

This is a prayer for healing and wholeness and can be used as an affirmation. The three spirals signify water, earth and air and symbolize the need for healing not only in ourselves, but also for our environment.

Story Behind the Drawing:

This "Love-Light Prayer" is one of a series of prayers I wrote while I was in College studying Graphic Design. These were the affirmations I would say to myself sitting on the train on my way to and from school. The design for this drawing came from my love of spirals and the feeling that the prayer itself was part of a cycle - since I used to repeat it over and over, it seemed right that the prayer be printed in a circle.

Physical Details:

This is a colour pencil drawing on paper. The paper is a finest quality art paper called 'Stone Henge.' The colour pencils used to create this drawing are the highest quality artist Prisma Colour Pencils. The drawing has been mounted on a rich dark blue mat board and framed in a wooded frame that is approximately 20" x 20." It is beautiful and ready to hang.
