and then alter it using acrylic paints, colour pencils, pens and
markers to create original art, stories and poetry. Dress to make

Realistic
Painting for Teens/Tweens:
Become a realistic painter! Learn brush handling,
how to mix colours, create gradients, and paint geometric forms.
Discover how to create your own original art pieces!

Realistic
Drawing for Teens/Tweens:
Expand and develop your ability to draw realistically.
Draw everyday objects and bring in your own pictures to reference
for your drawings. Use various drawing tools such as; charcoal,
conte, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, and mixed media. Create realistic
drawings using lines and various methods of shading.

Portrait
Drawing:
Explore the art of drawing portraits using charcoal,
graphite, and soft pastels. Learn the structure behind a face and
tricks for achieving a likeness. Draw from photos and from a model.
Materials required (approximately $50.00); a supply list will be
provided at the first class.

Acrylic
Painting Intermediates:
This course will walk you through the basic skills
you need to master. Learn brush handling and care, mixing colours
and how to create gradients, paint simple geometric forms and plan/execute
your own original acrylic paintings. Materials required (approximately
$80.00); a supply list will be provided at the first class.

Traveling
Art Teacher:
Judith will come to you to teach painting and drawing lessons
to community groups or individuals in suitable art creation settings.
Classroom Presentations:
Morning
or afternoon step-by-step painting workshop. Covers many visual arts curriculum-based
expectations. Topics may include:

the Teacher:
Judith
A. Jewer is a Visual Artist. She has a B.A. in Art and Art History from
McMaster University. Judith
has been teaching art for many years. She has planned age appropriate
projects and lessons to make learning art theory and process fun for students
ranging in age from 5-85. With a proven ability to break down complicated
projects into simple step by step instructions that the students can do
and understand, Judith provides individual assistance, with a focus on
teaching students the skills they need to make beautiful works of art.
